Carnel St Louis When I'm on a long drive, I'll throw this album on and just get lost in the sound. It has that drift away element and I guess that's why my favorite song is "Carry Me Away"....underrated but not under-appreciated. Thanks guys Favorite track: Carry Me Away.

about

We recorded these songs in a house in semi-rural Warren, NJ ('semi' means that the fields nearby are in the process of being replaced by McMansion colonies) that we lived in during the summer of 2009. A lot of it was done live, so you are mostly hearing embellished versions of actual performances. The basic tracks of Carry Me Away, If You Come Back, and Overseas were done completely live, with vocals and sparing overdubs done later. Almost all the rest (except Photo Machine and Twinkle) were started with live performances of rhythm guitar, drums, and vocals (Brian was standing outside in the backyard looking through the basement window for the purposes of sound-isolation) and built up from there. All this is worth mentioning because we think it affects how this record sounds, and thus hopefully how you hear it. Enjoy.
